Edward and Lily in medieval mode.

We went to the medieval day at the Cathedral on Sunday afternoon for a spot of archery and castle climbing. There was a re-enactment of the shooting out of the windows as part of the Reformation and Sophie got such a fright bless her. Blanks make more noise apparently. There was a lovely funny man on stilts who got all of the children to sing which was also fun. He took quite a shine to Amanda and was attempting a serenade but Amanda had never heard of the songs that he was singing. We all ate far too much for lunch in the new Mexican. Their children's burgers really are quite ridiculous, good value for a boy with a huge appetite but not Edward.
