First blog posting!!!

Well good morning and welcome to the FamilyElkin blog. We are on count down to "yurtfest" and Edward is not very impressed that we are not off there today. I have decided to set up this blog to log an account of our adventures now that we are staying in Peterborough. This blog was going to be the "Elkins off to MK" blog but there we are, this door has been closed for now. Probably a blessing? We will see. We are certainly richer (she says) in that we are not bankrupt due to excessive mortgage and removals etc. I will continue to shop at Aldi though, Mark prefers the beer there for a start and Edward gets to help himself to bags of sweets. Plus they were sympathetic when Ed had the runs the other week too, not having any customer toilets. These things happen.

Ed has been for his last taster session at Oakdale this week and he and Mark had a school dinner. I think Mark enjoyed the food more than Ed and I would have eaten everyone's sponge pudding and pink custard.

So there are going to be some key themes on this blog and here they are:

1. Edward school adventures

2. William potty training progress - he has nailed the wees and is quite proficient and stand up wee wees. The other part of this experience is not going so well. He told me the other day in the park that he had "pooed his nappy" and I said "no sweetie, you are not wearing a nappy".
